Why I wash my produce

Do you wash your produce? I didn’t always. Now I do.
Why? I wanna wash off pesticides.

Did you know that the average migrant farm worker in the U.S. is reported to live only to the age of 49 due to being exposed to pesticides!?!

YIKES!!

So you better believe I wanna do what I can to help my body and my little guys body from the side effects of pesticides.

If you know better, do better.

So I do my best to take 2 minutes every time I buy produce soak it. The best way to do it is to clean it before you eat it, but I like to prep it and have it all ready to go in the fridge cut up for easy access for me and little guy.

Here is a list of the most contaminated produce (most important to buy organic) known as the Dirty Dozen:

Strawberries
Spinach
Nectarines
Apples
Grapes
Peaches
Cherries
Pears
Tomatoes
Celery
Sweet Bell Peppers
Hot Peppers

How to clean produce:
1. Take produce out of its package
2. Fill sink or bowl with water covering produce
3. Pour 2TB of produce soak for every gallon of water.
4. Soak for 1-2 minutes
5. Rinse off and enjoy!
Tip: Do wash your dirtiest food first. (potatoes, strawberries are typically going to have the most dirt attached.) See dirty dozen list above.

So what can we do?? Soak our produce for 1-2 minutes in thieves fruit soak. Or spray it with the convenient spray they have.
16oz produce soak $19.75
2oz produce spray $8.50
