Bringing back the art of Thank you Cards with Basic Invite

Growing up writing thank you cards was a must. The day after a birthday or holiday we were sat down and given thank you cards to write in.

As I have grown up Ill be the first to admit I am not as good at it as I wish I was but I know the delight in receiving snail mail so I was determined to send out thank you cards. Its just harder now being a mom, but I know how much I appreciate a little thank you note when we attend parties. I of course used basic invite to create little mans first birthday invites for his WILD ONE birthday party.

So when creating his thank you cards I knew I wanted something more than just a plain white thank you card. Because as sweet as they are they usually get thrown in the trash a couple days later no? So I decided to use images from his Wild One Cake Smash that I photographed last month. This way they get a sweet little picture of him and a thank you card! Can you say genius?

Basic Invite is a little different than most printing companies. Not only do they allow customers to print a sample so you can see what it looks like they have almost unlimited colors! 180 colors to be exact. I didn’t even know there were 180 colors! With forty envelope colors your invites or thank you cards are going to be an exact match every time.

And one of my favorite features they collect addresses for you so you have them all in one place. This is something I love because other wise I have all my addresses in different spreadsheets and post it notes scattered around the house.

What about you? Did you grow up required to write thank you cards?
