My favorite young living oils | May Favorites
I thought I would start a little series on my blog each month where I will feature my favorite oils for that month.
Oils can be intimidating I know. Where do you start? What oils do you need first? Should you purchase a starter kit first? So many questions and I want to take time each month to address all of these questions for you. Yes, getting the starter kit is absolutely the smartest way to go for what you get in it (we will talk more about that next month:). Today I wanna chat about 4 oils that are not in the starter kit that we are using EVERY DAY.
This months favorite oils are: Peace + Calming, Orange, Valor, and Grounding.
First up is GROUNDING oil. Grounding oil is the oil I have talked about the most this month if you follow me on instagram. We have been dealing with ALOT of overwhelming anxious feelings and grounding is helping stop those emotions in their tracks. I personally just take a whiff and find myself becoming a little more centered.
I have so many friends with children on the autism spectrum that have story after story about how this oil has helped stop their tantrums and fits with just smelling it. You can apply this oil topically or just smell it.
Toddlers + tantrums are another reason you will want this oil.
Grounding oil has : Abies concolor† (White fir) branch/leaf/wood oil, Picea mariana† (Black spruce) leaf oil, Cananga odorata† (Ylang ylang) flower oil, Pinus sylvestris† (Pine) leaf oil, Cedrus atlantica† (Cedarwood) bark oil, Angelica archangelica† (Angelica) root oil, Juniperus osteosperma† (Juniper) oil

Next up is VALOR. My husband has used this daily for the past couple years. We nicknamed it “courage in a bottle”. It is that extra confidence boost that you need going into work, or an interview. Its just the perfect way to get yourself in a positive mindset as you start the day. Its a very uplifting smell. My husband typically goes through a bottle a year.

Orange oil is so stinking affordable at $10.75 and its the only thing that works as a teeth whitener on my teeth and doesn’t hurt them. I have pretty sensitive teeth and I cannot use any kind of teeth whitener strips. So orange oil is what I have been using daily. I use it once in afternoon and once at night.
Peace & Calming was the oil that got us hooked on young living oils 3 years ago. The first time I used it I slept better than I had slept in over 10+ years. I actually freaked me out I slept so soundly. We now use it every night. We just apply drop to our feet and rub our feet together. I am not a bad sleeper, I just have a hard time turning off my brain at night. I typically scroll through my phone and wait till I get sleepy. So instead of doing that I put on peace & calming as I am starting bedtime routine. Put my phone on my nightstand and am off to sleep.
