My favorite self tanner | Tan Wise Mousse

(Picture above is me rocking this self tanner an hour after applying)

After lots of people asking I finally am blogging my FAVORITE self tanner mousse and how I apply it. I just uploaded a 6 minute video explaining and showing you process on my IGTV. So hop over to my instagram account HERE to see that video.

I personally use TAN WISE dark mousse. I like the dark color and would suggest that for everyone unless you’re a natural redhead with extremely fair skin. I have used almost every type of fake tanner out there and tan wise self tanner with a mitt is the my favorite way to apply. It takes less than 10 minutes to do my entire body and I am ready to go.

I’ve heard great things about the st. tropez self tanner as well but I love a good deal and the price of the tan wise tanner and tanning mitt is still $10 cheaper!

A couple things:
– Make sure your skin is shaved + exfoliated for a clean slate.
– I personally do not lotion my elbows and knees – I haven’t had any problems with them absorbing more or less tanner.

It has a bronzer in it so you will INSTANTLY see color. Which I love so I know how well I am applying the tanner to my body. I typically do 3-4 pumps per arm and .5-1 pump for my face. My legs typically take 6-8 pumps per leg.
Within a couple hours your tan will have set in.

I HIGHLY suggest rinsing off your tanner within 3-6 hours of using it. Or if you do it a couple hours before bed do it first thing in the morning. This rinses of the bronzer aspect and leaves you with your tan. I don’t scrub, I just let water rinse off what it needs and then gently pat my body down.

I personally have no problem using this self tanner on my face. I just use my finger in the mitt to get every crease. The color is typically a shade darker than I want so I just use my face wipes to wipe it off a couple hours later to desired color. Again, using anymore than .5 pump I’ve found will leave you with a very dark face.

When I want to keep my tan up I apply twice a week. It fades super well without leaving you orange. I always get compliments on how good my tan looks.
